Production - Cast List

 Introduction 

Hello and welcome back, today we will be going through our cast characters for our upcoming film, we will go through some information about each one them in order of importance and why they are a good pick for our production.

Present Emily

For this character we have chosen to use Zara Gonzalez-Puig. Below is a picture of her and bullet points about her that share information about Zara and why these points make her a good fit for the role.

  

• She is a gymnast who practices at Alpha Gymnastics. That is the same studio my partner practices at which is how we got in contact with her.

• She has brown hair and brown eyes, aka the most common so easiest to find a younger girl to portray her.

• She is a three time Florida State Champion so she is skilled at gymnastics and proposes less worry of landing wrong when doing a flip  for our film since she has more practice.

• She is 5 foot and one inch tall so she isn’t too short to be confused to be the same age as younger Emily.

• She has experience being on camera since she is regularly photographed by the popular Clay Morgan from Clay Morgan Productions.

• Since she is a real gymnast she has the physique of one so it would match what a gymnast should look like for example her leg muscles. 

• She has an instagram account where we are able to contact her at gymnastics.with.Zara. and on her instagram you can see videos of her practices and accomplishments.

• She is 12 years old so she is easy to work with due to be closer in age to me and having 7 years of experience with gymnastics since she started at five years old.

With all these points I’m sure it is easy to see why Zara makes a great actor for our main character Emily.

Laura / Coach

This character will be played by Shannon Kennedy. Below is a picture of her from her instagram profile and bullet points that share information about her and why she is good match for this role.

•  She works for Alpha Gymnastics, which is the same gym that Zara and my parented Noemy attend so she is familiar with both of them and they will work well together.

• She is a coach at the gym so she has real life experience with being a coach and she can help us with the stunt our main character has to perform for the film.

• She is 5 feet and six inches tall which is perfect for the over the shoulder shots in scene 2 because we want their to be a change in angle of the camera throughout their conversation whenever the camera changes to show how the Coach has authority over Emily and she is someone Emily up towards both metaphorically and physically.

• Her working at the gym also means she can act as a techie and help us operate the gym lights and fans to make the setting more optimal.

• We can contact her through her instagram account as well which is Shannok_77

Veronica/ Emily’s Mother

This character will be played by Isima Chiong Diaz and below is a picture of her along with bullet points describing her use to the film and information about her.

• She is 43 years old so an appropriate age to be Emily’s mother.

• This is my mother so we can easily contact her and she can help us with our production if needed.

• She has 20 years of driving experience in Florida and five more years of experience in Cuba so her driving in the third scene will be no issue.

• She is 5 feet and two inches tall making her slightly taller than Zara.

• She works as her own boss as a sales person for Garbage company’s so she can make herself free during our scheduled production time.

• She already ownes the costume needed for her role since it is normal clothing.

• She is of Cuban origin with Spanish as her first language but she is fluent in English so there should be no issue with dialogue.

Young Emily 

This character will be played by Gabriela Diaz. A picture of her instagram profile  and information about her in the form of bullet points is seen below.

• She is gymnast who practices at Alpha Gymnastics like Zara and coach Shannon so she is also familiar with our other cast members.

• She has brown eyes and brown hair plus similar skin so will match the older Emily nicely.

• She 4 feet and six inches tall so her height is perfect for the role since she is shorter than Zara.

• Her instagram account is gaby_dgymnastics and the account is run by her mom. Her mom is a very nice lady who we spoke to in order to get permission to film with Gaby and we are keeping in touch with her mother.

• She ownes plenty of leotards so her costume is already provided and her hair will be done by her mother so that takes care of her costume.

• She is friends with Noemy since they attend the gym together so communicating with her though she is young will not be very difficult.

Conclusion 

This post showed who our cast will be and why, also moving us closer to production because we now have our actors for the film. Our next blog will be quite short since we will just be giving our scripts too our cast to look over and give us any pointers. Like always thank you for reading and see you next time.
